FROM PAINT TO FIBRE

This project was all about testing my embroidery skills to try and convert a painting into surface ornamentation.
I tried replicating the brush strokes by using threads of multiple colours and shades. The colours are a gradient, ranging from cool blues to warmer reds, while their point of influence creates purple. This gradient brings in the concept of the painting -' Inner Flame - The mind is everything.'
The whole artwork, is done using only blanket stitch, chain stitch and their variations.
